A new documentary, "Spirit of the Driftless: Preserving Our Legacy," will be screened at Viterbo University on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The film was produced by Tim Jacobson and the late George Howe of Sustainable Driftless, Inc., both two-time regional Emmy Award winners, along with Emmy winner Jonas Stenstrom and national TV host Rob Nelson of Untamed Science. According to its creators, "Spirit of the Driftless will open eyes and hearts to the region as never before as viewers explore soaring cliffs above the Mississippi River, spring-fed trout streams, and subterranean realms of caves and sinkholes."
The documentary has a runtime of 27 minutes. After the screening, attendees can participate in a discussion and reception with the filmmakers.
This screening is part of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership fall lecture series at Viterbo University. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required but seating is limited. More information about other events in this series can be found at www.viterbo.edu/ethics.
