Representative Karen Hurd, a Republican member of the Wisconsin State House representing the 69th district since 2025, has recently used her social media platform to encourage public engagement on state agricultural policy and to commemorate Constitution Day.
On September 15, 2025, Hurd urged constituents to participate in the rulemaking process by contacting a state agency. She posted, "However, you can still step up, and make your voice heard, and tell the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection to go back to the drawing board." On the same day, she provided further information for those interested in submitting comments: "To learn, more including how you can submit your comments, you can go to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation's information page here https://t.co/U9QedoMzqv"
Two days later, on September 17, Hurd marked a national observance with a historical note. She wrote: " Happy Constitution Day! Today we celebrate Constitution Day. On this day in 1787 the delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in Philadelphia. These 39 men signed their name to the greatest blueprint for freedom ever written. https://t.co/bHPGPQGHiz"
Karen Hurd was elected in 2025 after succeeding Donna Rozar as representative for Wisconsin’s 69th House district.
