TravelMag recently posted a list of the best cities to visit in Wisconsin, calling Eau Claire a bustling university town with a great arts and outdoors scene.

“Museums, breweries, public sculptures, parks and a diverse food scene contribute further to the town’s magnetic attraction,” the article stated.

Rep. Ron Kind (D-La Crosse) tweeted that it was no surprise seeing Eau Claire featured on the list of most charming towns and small cities in the state.

"This bustling university town has gained a reputation for its indie music and arts scenes, driven by its youthful demographic whose fingers never veer far from the cultural pulse," Kind said.

City leaders responded to the recent promotion of Eau Claire and were happy to see that people were recognizing the variety Eau Claire has to offer in terms of tourist attractions and activities.

Much of the recent interest has come on the heels of popular travel vloggers. The Endless Adventure posted a Youtube video about the many charms the city has to offer.

Executive director of Visit Eau Claire, Benny Anderson, told the Leader-Telegram that the large following of the vloggers helped propel the city as a must-visit destination.

“I think we will get a lot of good traction out of it and many people will see that Eau Claire is not just a one faction tourist stop,” Anderson said.

Anderson added that guests to the city desire food, nightlife, shopping, music, outdoors activities and other attractions when they visit.
