Loyal School District issued the following announcement on March 14.
The School District of Loyal along with the City of Loyal are excited to be offering a spring 2022 flag football league. The league will run April 2 – April 30 with games being held on Saturday mornings at the West Side Park. The fields will be located north of the softball diamond. The league rules will be based on a 5 vs. 5 passing league. The division’s (age group) breakdown is below.
The goal of this league is to promote fitness, team building, and football fundamentals. It is not intended to impede on any spring sports (softball, baseball, or track and field). Teams will be selected on a weekly basis allowing for individuals in spring sports to fully participate in their primary sport.
Eligibility
The participants will be broken into divisions based on the participant’s grade in school. The league is for anyone who wants to participate and is gender neutral.
Breakdown
Each group will be on the field for an hour. The hour is broken into two part: fundamentals and game play. The entire hour breakdown is below.
Waivers
All players must sign a waiver of liability form. If under the age of eighteen, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver.
Cost
There will be no cost to participate in the league.
