The University of Wisconsin-River Falls has reported a 5% increase in new first-year student enrollment for the fall 2025 semester, based on preliminary figures from the first day of classes. The total estimated student count stands at 5,275, which includes 1,189 new first-year students. Overall enrollment remains steady compared to fall 2024.
Interim Chancellor John Chenoweth commented on the enrollment numbers: “We’re thrilled to see more new students choosing UW-River Falls as the place to pursue their academic and professional goals. We appreciate the fact that students and families recognize the strength of our academic programs. This is an exciting year as we look forward to the opening of the state-of-the-art Science and Technology Innovation Center, which will benefit students across a wide range of majors.”
Official enrollment numbers are expected later this fall after counts are finalized on the tenth day of classes.
