Census Bureau reports Independence population was 1,342 in 2020

Independence had a population of 1,342 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the WC Wisconsin News.

The median age was 40, with 52.4 percent of the total population being female and 47.6 percent male.

The state's total population in 2020 was 5,806,975.
