Ace of La Crosse to give away American flags

Ace of La Crosse will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Wisconsin lost 627 soldiers in the Korean war and 760 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 4242 Mormon Coulee Rd, La Crosse will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Thomas Rooney Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace of La Crosse while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Ace of La Crosse is located at 4242 Mormon Coulee Rd, La Crosse, Wisconsin. This location is owned by Peter Walsh, represented by Michael Blattner and managed by Keri Flahive.
