America’s Go Talent (AGT) contestant Adam Winrich has known bright lights before.

Set to appear on the July 12 episode of the NBC network talent show, the Falls Creek native is already a professional whip performer and 30-time Guinness World Record holder for whip cracking. He has appeared on such national shows as Conan O’Brien, Steve Harvey and The Discovery Channel.

Winrich, who is also a 23-time Guinness world record holder with records for most candles extinguished by a single whip in one minute (102), and the loudest whip crack recorded at 148.7dB(a), has also tried out for AGT before, but this will be the first time he will have a portion of viewing time. He makes his living traveling around and doing his fire whip showcase at festivals all across the country.

“Leading up to the audition, they have us sequestered for several days, trying to get through all the other contestants,” Winrich said. “I tried to sleep as much as possible so I’d be as relaxed as I could be on the stage because I thought I would be really nervous, but when I walked out on stage, the crowd was actual really warm, so I felt really relaxed right away.”

According to TalentReap.com, a leaked video of Winrich’s audition on the national television show have him boldly asking judge Sophia Vergara to come up on stage as he cracks his whip around her.

Even with Vergara appearing clearly terrified, she and all the other judges are thrilled with his performance, joining the audience in cheering him on.
