2021 has 5.1% of Jackson County residents unemployed

Jackson County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 510 people out of the 21,004 living in Jackson County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Jackson County has decreased compared to the 5.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Jackson County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 9,486 people who had a job during that time, 5 were employed in the Armed Forces and 9,481 belonged to the civilian labor force.
