Congressman Derrick Van Orden, representing Wisconsin's 3rd District, has issued a statement following his vote in favor of the House Budget Resolution. In his statement, Van Orden emphasized that the resolution does not include cuts to specific programs.
"To be explicitly clear: today’s budget resolution did not include any cuts to specific programs. Anyone saying otherwise is lying and engaging in the fearmongering of our farmers, veterans, seniors, and most vulnerable populations," Van Orden stated. He explained that the resolution aims to establish a framework for more efficient management of taxpayer funds by the federal government.
Van Orden also addressed concerns about essential social programs. "Millions of Americans depend on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and I will have no part in cutting these programs for the folks that are legally entitled to them," he affirmed.
