The Tomah Health Community Foundation is preparing for its annual golf outing aimed at supporting local health and wellness initiatives. The event is scheduled for August 1st at the Hiawatha Golf Club in Tomah, marking its 29th year.

Foundation president Brian Eirschele expressed enthusiasm about continuing this longstanding tradition. "We are very excited to continue a 29-year tradition with our annual golf outing, which is our largest fundraising activity to enhance wellness and health in our area," said Eirschele.

Participants can register for the 18-hole team scramble, featuring a $25,000 hole-in-one event sponsored by Tap House Twenty of Tomah and a $2,500 putting contest supported by CCF Bank, the outing's sponsor. "Thanks to CCF Bank and our other sponsors like Tap House Twenty of Tomah, the outing has been one of the premiere golf events over the years. We are looking forward to another wonderful event to support local health and wellness programs and organizations," added Eirschele.

Over the years, the event has financially backed several foundation activities, including more than $90,000 in education scholarships. It has also supported various groups such as the Tomah Police K-9 unit, Viterbo Foot Care Clinic, Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry of Tomah, Second Harvest Food Bank, Tomah Boys & Girls Club, Tomah Health Land a Hand program, and Families First. "Our event is most likely the longest running golf outing in the area and continues to be a vital fundraising event for us to continue our local mission," noted Eirschele.

The outing will also include a silent auction, lucky draw contests, a social hour, and a catered dinner starting at 5 p.m. While team registration forms have been sent out to past participants, new teams are encouraged to join.

Registration closes on July 17.
