One hundred sixteen golfers took part in the 29th annual Tomah Health Community Foundation golf outing at Hiawatha Golf Club on August 1, raising funds to support health and wellness programs in Monroe County. The team from MBE Wealth Management of Tomah, consisting of Jack Christen, Kade Gnewikow, Owen Walker, and Jake Berry, won the 18-hole scramble with a score of 15 under par 57.
The event featured various activities including a putting contest, hole-in-one challenge, auctions, and a catered dinner. CCF Bank of Tomah served as the main sponsor for this year's outing.
“Thanks to the support from those who played the event and people who participated in our auctions, the Tomah Health Community Foundation continues its mission to support area health and wellness programs throughout Monroe County,” said foundation president Brian Eirschele. He noted that knowing the proceeds help improve residents' health gives extra meaning to participants.
Funds raised during this annual event will go toward supporting local health and wellness initiatives within Monroe County.
