Rep. Derrick Van Orden Press Office, representing Wisconsin’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on X (formerly Twitter) regarding recent events and commemorations.

On September 10, 2025, the press office urged followers to "Please join us in praying for Charlie Kirk." Later that day, another post expressed concern about violence and support for Kirk's family: "Absolutely devastating. There is no place for political violence in America.

We are praying for Charlie's wife, children, and loved ones. May God grant them strength and peace during this time."

The following day, on September 11, 2025, the office shared a message honoring those affected by the September 11 attacks: "Today, we honor the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and the families whose lives were changed forever on September 11, 2001.

We will never forget.

God bless the USA."

Derrick Van Orden assumed office in 2023 after replacing former representative Ron Kind. He secured his seat by defeating Brad Pfaff in 2022 with just over half of the vote and was re-elected in 2024 against Rebecca Cooke with a similar margin.
