The La Crosse County Health Department will host a free COVID-19 community testing event on Sept. 24-25, in Mitchell Hall. Free parking will be available by the stadium in parking lot C-2. The public will access the gym on the West side of the building.

Per the La Crosse County Health Department:

This is an indoor COVID-19 testing site at Mitchell Hall on UW-La Crosse Campus. No appointments are necessary, and there is no pre-registration for this event.

This is a nasal swab test. Testing is still available at local health care partners for those with symptoms who are not able to attend this event.

This site is intended to be for UW-La Crosse students, but others in the community may attend. This testing site is open to those who are currently experiencing any of the following symptoms or those who have been a contact of a positive COVID-19 case, ages 5 and up 

Even those with mild symptoms are encouraged to attend:

fever

cough

shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

chills or repeated shaking with chills

muscle pain

headache

sore throat

new loss of taste or smell

No antibody testing will be completed at this time.

Please remember that a negative test result does not end your required 14 day quarantine if you've been exposed to a person with COVID-19.

For those planning to attend: If you have insurance, please bring a copy of your insurance card. There is no out of pocket cost for testing at this site.
