City Council and Plan Commission members are invited to attend. Therefore, because a quorum of one or more may be in attendance, public notice is hereby provided. No action will be taken by the City Council or Plan Commission at this event.
The Task Force welcomes speaker Kurt Paulsen, UW-Madison Professor of Urban & Regional Planning and author of the 2019 report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, "Falling Behind." That report shows Wisconsin experiencing a severe workforce housing shortage, explores primary causes, subsequent impacts, and recommended policies. Prof. Paulsen will discuss the report, as well as updated and Eau Claire County-specific data.
The Chippewa Valley Housing Task Force is a regional collaboration to understand housing conditions in the region, and advance solutions to challenges.
Attendance is open to the public and all who are interested to attend.
