Menomonie Market Food Co-op officials are moving forward with plans to bring a larger store to the Eau Claire area.

According to WEAU.com, city officials recently received a new purchase agreement for the southern half of City Block 7 that Menomonie executives plan to use to expand, including adding a new deli to operations. The new establishment plans to open for business in the fall of 2023 at the corner of North Barstow and Galloway streets.

“Our customers have been asking for a larger store for years,” General Manager Crystal Halvorson added. “We look forward to welcoming the community into a beautiful new location with more product offerings and spaces for learning and socializing.”

In a news release, company officials noted construction is expected to commence later this year.
