74.6% of Monroe County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 46,091 citizens living in Monroe County in 2021, 74.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 34,371 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 17,713 were male, constituting 51.5%, and 16,658 were female, making up 48.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Monroe County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78%.
