In one post, Hurd stated, "During the budget process, I supported the efforts of my colleagues, Rep. Clint Moses and @SenJesseJames, to set aside $10 million to be used to build a new mental health facility in the Chippewa Valley. Yesterday, I joined them in testifying in support of Assembly Bill 388." (September 4, 2025).
She further elaborated on the specifics of the bill by posting, "This bill would direct the Department of Health Services to award the $10 million in funding to Rogers Behavioral Health to assist with the construction of a new facility in Chippewa Falls.
