FOIA Request to Town Of Brockway Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at WC Wisconsin News have formally requested records of new voter registrations from the Town of Brockway that were registered on November 5, 2024. This request was made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and we have expressed a preference for receiving these records in an electronic format.
As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In our request, we also mentioned our eligibility for a fee waiver as a media professional given our role in disseminating information to the public.
