FOIA Request to Town of Taft Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at WC Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As a media organization, we play a vital role in disseminating information and thus have requested for a fee waiver as per our eligibility as media professionals.
We eagerly await the response from the Town of Taft officials and remain available for any queries they may have regarding this request.
