FOIA Request to Town of Albany Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at WC Wisconsin News have sent a formal request to the Town of Albany under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq. The request was sent on November 7, 2024, seeking information about new voter registrations that occurred on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to such public records is crucial for comprehensive and accurate news coverage. It allows us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. As a media organization, we are deeply involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. We have requested these records preferably in an electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination.
