FOIA Request to City of Owen Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continued commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at WC Wisconsin News have submitted a request for public records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq. The request, sent on November 7, 2024, seeks access to a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe access to these records is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities. The information will help us report accurately on voter registration trends and contribute to the public's understanding of local electoral processes.
We have requested that the information be provided in an electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination. In line with our role as a media organization disseminating information to the public, we have also asked for a fee waiver as a media professional.
