The request was made by WC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs. The news outlet sought records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., specifically requesting a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

We have also requested a fee waiver for this information as it pertains directly to our role in disseminating news to the public.
We await a response from the Village of Ettrick and will continue to pursue all avenues necessary to ensure transparency and accountability in our local government's operations.
