FOIA Request to Village of Ellsworth Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continued commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at WC Wisconsin News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Village of Ellsworth. The request, made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., seeks information about new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
