FOIA Request to Village of Warrens Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
WC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As part of our commitment to transparency and public accountability, we believe that access to such records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. We are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public and maintaining the integrity of our democratic institutions is paramount to us.
Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. We await the response from the Village of Warrens and will continue to keep our readers informed about developments related to this request.
