FOIA Request to Town of Arcadia Regarding Voter Registration Records on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at WC Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Town of Arcadia.
Our request is specifically for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. This information is crucial in our efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in public institutions.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
We await a response from the Town of Arcadia and will continue to keep the public informed about developments in this matter.
