FOIA Request to Town of Dover Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at WC Wisconsin News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Town of Dover for a list of new voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In light of our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals. We eagerly await the Town of Dover's response to our request and look forward to sharing this information with the public in our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability.
