Enrollment at Owen-Withee School District increased by 3.2% compared to previous school year

There were 456 students enrolled in Owen-Withee School District schools in the 2023-24 school year, 3.2% more than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 54.4% of them were girls, and 45.6% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 81.6% of the Owen-Withee School District total enrollment.

Owen-Withee School District covers three schools within Clark County, with its main office in Owen.

Among the three schools in the Owen-Withee School District, Owen-Withee Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 216 students in the 2023-24 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
