Rep. Derrick Van Orden, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin's 3rd District, has been active on social media, sharing his perspectives and updates on various issues. Born in Minnesota in 1969 and residing in Prairie du Chien, Van Orden has a background in law with degrees from Excelsior University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

On January 27, 2025, Rep. Van Orden's press office acknowledged International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In a tweet posted on that day, he stated: "On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. We continue to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people around the world and reaffirm our commitment to ensure these atrocities never happen again."

Two days later, on January 29, 2025, he announced significant legislative news via Twitter regarding immigration policy. The tweet read: "The Laken Riley Act has just been signed into law by @POTUS! Now, illegal aliens who commit crimes will be detained and deported. This is just the beginning of making our communities safer and protecting American citizens."

On January 30, 2025, following a tragic event involving an aircraft crash in Washington D.C., Rep. Van Orden expressed condolences through another tweet: "Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the first responders on scene of the tragic aircraft crash in D.C."
