La Crosse County has recognized John Manke, Section Manager at Integrated Support and Recovery Services (ISRS), in its Employee Spotlight for his commitment to crisis response and mental health care support. The announcement was made in the March 5 issue of County Connection.

According to the County Connection Issue, Manke assumed the role of Section Manager at ISRS within La Crosse County Human Services last September, bringing over ten years of experience in government contracting for veteran support.

"A lot of the work being done and the resources available to people go unnoticed by the public," Manke said. "It would be nice for the community to really understand that there are all these people working tirelessly day after day to support the community that they live in."

The La Crosse County Government website outlines that ISRS plans, implements, and coordinates a variety of services for adult and children's mental health, substance abuse, and children with special needs. These include developmental or physical disabilities and autism. Services offered encompass mobile crisis response, outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, case management, comprehensive community services, and support for children with special needs through programs like Children’s Long-Term Support Waivers and the Children’s Community Options Program. The department also provides crisis services, mental health support, guidance for families, and substance abuse services for both adults and children.

La Crosse County is situated in southwestern Wisconsin's Driftless Region and is home to 120,784 residents. According to its website, the county serves as a hub for education, healthcare, and transportation with convenient access to major cities via air, rail, and highway.
