Rep. Derrick Van Orden Press Office has been actively communicating his views and legislative efforts through social media. Van Orden, who represents Wisconsin’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has made several statements addressing issues from veterans' care to tax reforms.
On June 17, 2025, Rep. Van Orden's office criticized a publication by The Guardian regarding veterans' issues. In a tweet, the office stated: "Rep. Van Orden is one of Congress' top advocates for ensuring everyone who has served our nation gets the care and support they earned. Very shameful of @guardian to run a 'story' full of lies solely to fearmonger our vets."
Later that day, the press office addressed misconceptions about a tax initiative known as OBBB (Opportunity for Better Business and Betterment). According to their statement on social media: "Let’s set the record straight: The OBBB isn't a tax break for the wealthy – it’s relief for hardworking Americans." The tweet emphasized several key points of the initiative including preventing tax hikes on Wisconsin families, ending taxes on tipped income and overtime pay, increasing the Child Tax Credit, and implementing historic tax cuts for seniors.
On June 18, 2025, Rep. Van Orden's office turned its focus towards international security concerns regarding Iran. They declared via social media: "Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism and is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. They can NEVER have a nuclear weapon."
