Rep. Derrick Van Orden Press Office has been actively sharing updates and statements on social media regarding recent political developments and initiatives. As a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 3rd district, Van Orden's communications reflect his positions and actions in office.

On July 2, 2025, the press office expressed criticism towards the mainstream media, specifically addressing an incident involving Ms. Nguyen. The tweet stated, "This is why the American public can't stand the mainstream press." It accused Ms. Nguyen of failing to provide context for her question about whether the Republican Party is being "led by the nose by President Trump" and omitting part of Rep. Van Orden's response.

Later that day, another tweet highlighted support for the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), emphasizing its benefits for various groups in Wisconsin. The post read, "The OBBB delivers for Wisconsin — from families and farmers to small business owners, seniors, veterans, and everyone in between." The statement underscored a call to action with "Let’s get it done!"

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Van Orden released a statement following the passage of what he referred to as a transformative legislative effort. He described it as “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Americans – our seniors, veterans, families, farmers, manufacturers, and most vulnerable populations.” He also criticized his Democratic colleagues for allegedly engaging in fearmongering.

Derrick Van Orden has been serving in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Ron Kind. Born in Minnesota in 1969 and currently residing in Prairie du Chien, he holds degrees from Excelsior University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
