Rep. Derrick Van Orden’s press office has highlighted recent legislative and district activities through a series of posts on social media, focusing on the One, Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBB) and its impact on Wisconsin’s agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
On August 5, 2025, the press office stated that "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill puts our farmers and agricultural producers first. With significant investments in crop insurance, new base acres, research, and trade promotion, the OBBB ensures our farms can continue to operate and Wisconsin's products can be enjoyed by the world."
A day later, on August 6, 2025, another post detailed Rep. Van Orden’s visit to ECC Corrosion in Wisconsin Rapids: "Yesterday, Rep. Van Orden toured ECC Corrosion in Wisconsin Rapids. During his visit, they discussed how the OBBB benefits our manufactures with historic investments in the industry and no tax on overtime for the incredibly hardworking folks who keep these businesses running."
Continuing his outreach efforts within the district, a post dated August 7 reported: "Rep. Van Orden hosted a business roundtable with 50+ representatives from the construction, manufacturing, hospitality, & agricultural industries in the Third District. We’ll always work to ensure our local business owners have the tools they need to succeed & keep WI-03 great!"
Derrick Van Orden currently serves as U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 3rd district after succeeding Ron Kind in 2023. He won re-election against Rebecca Cooke in 2024 with approximately 51.3% of the vote and previously defeated Brad Pfaff in 2022 with a similar margin.
