Representative Karen Hurd, a Republican serving Wisconsin's 69th House district, recently shared updates on her community engagement activities in Clark County through a series of posts on her social media account.
On August 27, 2025, Hurd recounted her participation at a local event, stating, "On Sunday I spent some time at Loyal's Cornfest. Despite a little rain, there was a good turnout for the parade. It was also great to see Clark County Sheriff Kerry Kirn."
Continuing her updates the following day, Hurd highlighted her involvement with local businesses: "Over the last week, I’ve had the opportunity to join with community members in celebrating the growth of one small business and the start of another in Clark County." In a subsequent post from August 28, she added details about these visits: "Last Friday, I attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Christie Country Quilts' new, larger location in the Town of Weston. On Wednesday, I helped to welcome Hornet Nutrition to the Colby community. I wish the teams at both businesses many years of success!"
Karen Hurd was elected to represent Wisconsin’s 69th House district in 2025 after succeeding Donna Rozar. As a state legislator, she has focused on engaging with local events and supporting small businesses within her district.
