Representative Karen Hurd, a Republican elected in 2025 to the Wisconsin State House representing the 69th district, has highlighted legislative efforts and community initiatives through a series of recent posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On September 24, 2025, Hurd addressed state support for Rogers Behavioral Health’s planned facility in Chippewa Valley. She wrote, "With support from the state, Rogers will be able to build a facility that will not only serve the Chippewa Valley, but the entire region. I appreciate having the opportunity to work with @SenJesseJames, Rep. Moses, and other area legislators to bring this legislation forward."
In another post from the same day, Hurd referenced her advocacy during an Assembly floor session earlier in September: "During an Assembly floor session earlier this month, I spoke in favor of Assembly Bill 388. This legislation allocates $10 million to Rogers Behavioral Health to assist with the construction of a new mental health facility in Chippewa Falls.

The following day, September 25, Hurd promoted seasonal tourism in Wisconsin by sharing resources for travelers interested in fall activities: "Fall is a great time to travel Wisconsin and explore some of the great things our state has to offer. If you would like to make seeing the fall colors a part of your next trip, check out @TravelWI's Fall Color Report.
