WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Navy SEAL veteran Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03) voted to pass the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25). The FY25 NDAA focuses on improving the quality of life for servicemembers and their families during and after their time of service, an issue that Rep. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), alongside Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI), announced the introduction of legislation to increase financial support for veterans in apprenticeships and on-the-job training programs. The Warriors to Workforce Act aims to amend the current stipulation of the GI Bill that dictates the Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) for veterans, increasing it from 80% to 90% of the standard rate throughout their training period, to reduce financial barriers and dropout rates among veterans during their workforce training programs.
