FOIA Request to La Crosse County Regarding Public Records from January to October 2024 on October 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government, we at WC Wisconsin News have submitted a request for public records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law. This request, sent on October 7, 2024, seeks access to the county's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) logs from January 1, 2024, through October 7, 2024.
The specific details requested include the requester's name and organization, the content of their request, the date of their request and its completion date, as well as the status of their FOIA request. These details are essential for us to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
As a media organization dedicated to informing the public and holding institutions accountable, we believe that access to these records is vital. Furthermore, given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
