Tomah Health's Rehabilitation Services department, led by Director Tim Kortbein and Rehab Coordinator Emily Wall, reports positive patient outcomes in rehabilitation care compared to international standards. Recent data from Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO) for the year ending March 24 reflects impressive rankings.
According to the data, Tomah Health is in the top 5% for wrist and hand patient care, ranks in the top 20% globally for orthopedic elbow rehabilitation, and stands within the top 18% for shoulder patient outcomes. These achievements were realized with fewer patient visits than typically predicted.
Particularly noteworthy are the results in specialized areas of care. Women's Health and Urinary Incontinence patient outcomes rank in the top 8% internationally. Vertigo patient outcomes are in the top 25%, and neurological patient outcomes are in the top 16% globally.
"The Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes Database includes 4,000 clinics and 20,000 Rehab Clinicians worldwide, which validates the statistical significance of this database," the organization noted.
