Tomah Health has announced its upcoming Women’s Health Night, set to take place on April 24, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Cranberry Country Lodge Convention Center in Tomah. The event aims to offer women of all ages insights into health and wellness through various resources and activities.

Whitney Sanjari, Tomah Health Community Health educator, emphasized the significance of this event by stating, “It’s easy to miss some of the opportunities and resources that are in our community, so Women’s Health Night gathers various organizations that serve residents of Monroe County and lets people know things in our community that are resources to help women and their families.”

The event will feature a health fair providing complimentary blood pressure, depression, and anxiety screenings. Additionally, over 25 vendors will share information on different health and wellness topics. “It’s a great place to not only get great information on health and wellness, but also to have fun doing it,” Sanjari mentioned.

Although primarily directed at women, the event is open to men as well. “I think it’s a great community event to learn about resources in the community and general health information and speak to health professionals,” Sanjari said.

Interactive presentations are scheduled throughout the evening, including a ‘Make & Take Floral Design’ class by Linda Capaul of JJ’s Floral of Tomah and a soap-making demonstration by B & T Farms of Tomah.

Sanjari also highlighted that the event is free of charge and will include more than 30 door prizes, healthy appetizers, and refreshments. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening, and attendees do not need to be present to win. "I think women in particular are very social, so this event is a way for us to connect and be social and have fun with our friends and you’ll see women of all ages there,” said Sanjari.

The Women’s Health Night is an initiative by Tomah Health Community Outreach, which hosts this event during odd-number years, alternating with a men’s health event in even-numbered years.
