Rep. Derrick Van Orden, representing Wisconsin's 3rd district since 2023, has been active on social media, sharing updates on his recent activities and legislative actions. Born in Minnesota in 1969, Van Orden now resides in Prairie du Chien and holds degrees from Excelsior University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
On June 10, Rep. Van Orden joined a bipartisan group of colleagues on the Capitol steps to honor Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum on May 21. He stated, "Antisemitism has no place in America, and we must condemn it every time we see it."
The following day, June 11, he expressed gratitude towards Secretary Rollins for attending a House Agriculture GOP hearing. He tweeted, "Thank you @SecRollins for attending today’s @HouseAgGOP hearing! Looking forward to our continued work together for Wisconsin’s farmers and agricultural producers."
On June 12, Rep. Van Orden announced his vote to pass a rescissions package aimed at cutting billions of dollars in wasteful government spending. He emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility by stating that this action would ensure Congress is being better stewards of taxpayers' dollars: "Rep.
