71 percent of applicants to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in La Crosse enrolled 10,597 students in fall 2018, including 9,727 in undergraduate and 870 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

83 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 17 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (89 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (3 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 6,855 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 45 percent enrolled.
