Congressman Derrick Van Orden from Wisconsin's 3rd District has issued a statement following President Trump's Joint Address to Congress. In his remarks, Van Orden emphasized the mandate given to President Trump by the American people and highlighted the administration's efforts in addressing various national issues.

"The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate, and he is delivering on his promise to put America first," said Van Orden. He criticized the previous administration under former President Biden and Vice President Harris for what he described as "disastrous leadership," citing challenges such as a severe border crisis, inflation, high gas prices, and increased global tensions.

Van Orden praised President Trump's current initiatives, noting improvements in several areas. "President Trump’s address tonight reaffirmed that he is working at an unprecedented pace to make America strong, secure, and competitive again," he stated. According to Van Orden, February saw the lowest level of border crossings in 25 years alongside decreasing gas prices and progress in international peace negotiations.

The congressman expressed support for the president's agenda aimed at strengthening America's position both domestically and internationally. "This is what the American people asked for, and I am proud to stand with President Trump as we continue working to restore American strength at home and abroad," concluded Van Orden.
