Rep. Derrick Van Orden Press Office has shared several updates on recent developments via social media. The tweets provide insights into his reactions to national events and legislative efforts.

On May 18, 2025, the press office expressed sympathy regarding a personal health matter involving a prominent political figure. "We are saddened to hear of former President Biden’s cancer diagnosis and are thinking of him and his family."

The following day, on May 19, 2025, attention was directed towards addressing workforce challenges in healthcare. The press office highlighted the introduction of new legislation by Rep. Van Orden aimed at tackling this issue: "The CNA shortage is a nationwide challenge, but it hits rural communities like WI-03 especially hard. That's why Rep. Van Orden introduced the CNA Workforce Improvement Act to streamline training requirements and help get more of these essential caregivers into the field."

Later that same day, an update was provided on another legislative initiative concerning veterans' affairs. A bill spearheaded by Rep. Van Orden successfully passed through the House: " Rep. Van Orden's VA Home Loan Program Reform Act just PASSED out of the House H.R. 1815 establishes a permanent partial claims program within the VA Home Loan program, offering a fiscally responsible path for veterans who have fallen behind on mortgage payments."

Derrick Van Orden is currently serving in U.S Congress representing Wisconsin’s 3rd district since replacing Ron Kind in 2023.
