UW-La Crosse Chancellor James Beeby visited Tomah Health on March 4 to engage in discussions with hospital officials. The meeting, described as a 'meet and greet' session, was attended by UW-L Director of Community Engagement Lisa Klein, CEO Derek Daly, CFO Joe Zeps, Rehab Services Director Tim Kortbein, Rehab Services Coordinator Emily Wall, and Marketing Director Eric Prise.
The hour-long discussion focused on exploring partnerships and future collaborations between the university and the hospital. "Kortbein said UW-L has been a valuable resource for attracting rehab services staff," highlighting that many of the rehabilitation staff are graduates from UW-L.
Daly commented on the productive nature of the meeting: "The meeting was a great way to continue a strong partnership while looking for additional ways to work together to benefit the hospital and university."
During his visit, Beeby also toured Tomah Health's Rehabilitation Services department. This visit marked one of his engagements since becoming Chancellor in July.
