Pepin County Education: 1,219 students were enrolled in 2024-25 school year

There were 1,219 students enrolled in Pepin County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 1.2% less than the previous school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 50.7% identified themselves as male, 49.3% as female.

Data also showed that white students comprised 91.3% of the student body in Pepin County schools—the largest share—followed by Hispanic students at 5.9%, multiracial students at 1.6%, and Black students at 0.7%.

Durand Middle/High School had the highest enrollment among Pepin County’s four schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 537 students.

Wisconsin ranked 29th in the U.S. for student-to-teacher ratio at 14:1, according to a study by AAA State of Play.
